Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Michael Freifeld received his B.S. in animal science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He then went on to receive his veterinary training at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Originally from Long Island, New York he worked as a veterinary technician throughout his high school and undergraduate schooling. Michael was notably involved in alpaca research and developed a stress relieving device in the process, deemed the Calm-a-lid©. Michael has wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as he can remember. He was fearful of dogs as a child due to a bite, but overcame his fear to pursue his dream. Michael has had a versatile range of experiences involving many different species; tarantulas, reptiles, alpacas, ostriches, monkeys, bats and many more. In his free time, Michael enjoys photography, backpacking, cooking, woodworking and other outdoor activities. He hopes to adopt a four-legged companion this year. He looks forward to a year of awesome mentorship and intense training at the VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital. Education: Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine Years in Practice: 1
