Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Noelany Cruz was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico. At a very young age she already knew her goal in life was to be a veterinarian. While working as a veterinary technician she developed a special interest in primates, birds, and other exotic pets. She obtained both a Bachelors degree in Medical Science at the University of Puerto Rico and the Florida Veterinary Technician Certification in 2012.Her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri (MU) was awarded in 2016. During Dr. Cruzs time at MU she was president of the Veterinary Student as One in Culture and Ethnicity Association (VOICE), participated in the Veterinary Research Scholars Program (VRSP) and American Society of Laboratory Animal Practitioner (ASLAP) summer fellowship. Her professional interests are exotic pets, dermatology, dentistry, and imaging. Being fluent in Spanish, Dr. Cruz can better serve Spring Oaks Animal Care Center Hispanic clientele. She shares her home with Sandy the Dachshund, Sara the Chihuahua, Pepe the Boston Terrier, and Cielo the Betta fish. Dr. Cruz enjoys watching movies, playing video games, reading, cooking and spending time with her dogs and family.
