Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Ambros graduated Summa Cum Laude from Colorado State University in 2006, and worked as a general practitioner at a day practice in north Sarasota for 3 years. She then workd as an associate at a local emergency hospital for 2 years. Most recently, she returned to day practice as a relief veterinarian, helping out at many different clinics from Bradenton to Port Charlotte. While she enjoyed getting to be part of a day practice again for a while, she is excited to be back in the emergency field, where her passion truly lies. Dr. Ambros was a Colorado native until she moved to Florida 6 years ago and does not know how she lived in a landlocked state for so long! Her spare time is spent with Herbie, Humphrey, D-Dog, and Kung Pao, the critters affectionately known as the "reject pet collection" - 2 pekingese mixes, a husky, and a chicken. When she is not with them, she can always be found somewhere near the beach and the ocean. In addition to emergency and critical care medicine, her professional interests include oncology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery.
