Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Lundberg graduated from veterinary school at Auburn University in 1977. He went on to do an internship at Cornell University before entering private practice. He came to Apopka in 1982 to open the Sheeler Road Animal Hospital. In 1999, he moved the practice into a new facility with state-of-the-art equipment and a large boarding kennel. Dr. Lundberg enjoys all the challenges of veterinary practice but has a special interest in surgery, including many orthopedic procedures. Dr. Lundberg has served for 8 years on the board of directors of the Veterinary Emergency Clinic of Central Florida and is a past president of the Central Florida Veterinary Medical Association. When not at the office, Dr. Lundberg enjoys many hobbies. You might find him out in the middle of Mosquito Lagoon in his fishing boat or backpacking in the mountains of Colorado or Utah. He, along with his wife Kathy and their children and grandchildren, enjoy retreating to the old log cabin they restored in Kentucky on the farm on which Kathy was raised. His most recent project has been helping his wife and son open a restaurant in New Smyrna Beach. Woodworking has always been a passion for him and he was able to put his skills to use by building handcrafted tables and a bar top that weaves through the trees in the lush outdoor patio of Third Wave Café on Flagler Avenue. His own pets include Sweetie pie, a calico cat, and Gobbler, a lovable tabby cat that showed up as a hungry stray kitten on Thanksgiving 2008.
