Veterinarian Overview
A native New Yorker, Dr. Jim Murphy received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia- Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.I love working on Capitol Hill and helping people take care of their pets. For me, it is all about the Three CsCompetence, Compassion, and Communication. Everything I do is meant to protect and preserve the bond people share with their companion animals.In his spare time, Jim enjoys community theater and has starred in several productions. He has also appeared in three feature-length indie film comedies. He is also trying to teach himself how to play guitar. His first book, Becoming the Beach Boys, 1961-1963, detailing their early history, has been published to rave reviews.Jim and his wife, Bernadette, and their adorable Cairn Terrier, Gabby, live in Bowie, Maryland.
