Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Shyla Franklin has been both a general practitioner and emergency veterinarian in Southern California since 2004. After receiving her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Illinois, Dr. Franklin went on to attend veterinary school and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Dr. Shyla Franklin attended the University of Illinois, where she was awarded a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science in 2000. She went on to attend the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Her professional interests included internal medicine and surgery. With a strong interest in acting and dancing, Dr. Franklin frequently performs in local theater productions. She also enjoys swimming, movies, shopping, bowling and spending time with her family. At home, she cares for her dog Blue Ice & her two cats, Beauty and Misty.
