Veterinarian Overview
Dr. John Cardwell received his DVM degree from UC Davis in 1985. Before this he had specialized in cell bilogy, having earned a Master's degree from Purdue University in Indiana. His area of special interest in our private practice is reptile medicine. He has always had a special interest in these fascinating creatures and enjoys helping people keep them as healthy & happy as possible. Dr. Cardwell has been married to his wife, Beth, since 1977 (yes, that's more than 30 years!) He has two grown children whose interests reside primarily in the arts. He is an active member of Grace Community Church in Visalia. He has one dog, three cats, and one snake (a rosy boa). His interests outside of work include astronomy, playing the cello and singing in the church choir, bowling, reading, and spending time with his family
