Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Kelly Schmitz is a SoCal native growing up in Huntington Beach, CA. Dr. Schmitz obtained her Bachelor degree in Animal Science at UC Davis in 2008. She then continued her education at UC Davis to attend veterinary school and graduated in 2012. After obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Schmitz completed a one year rotating internship at Animal Emergency Medical Center in Torrance, CA. Although her original interest was in Zoological medicine, she enjoys the variety cases seen in emergency medicine. Dr. Schmitz has had a wide variety of pets in her life, but currently she shares her home with a long-haired miniature dachshund named Lucy.
