Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Goulet has had a life-long passion for animals and as a young girl she dreamt of becoming a veterinarian. Her early career, however, ended up on a different course. Dr. Goulet attended the University of California at Riverside where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minor in the Spanish language. She then attended the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C. and, on completion of her law degree, practiced Labor & Employment law in Los Angeles for about 7 years. Although there were many benefits to a career in the law, Dr. Goulets dream of becoming a veterinarian was something that she felt she needed to pursue. So, she packed up her family (including 2 dogs and 2 cats) and moved to New Zealand, where she attended the AVMA-accredited veterinary program at the Institute of Veterinary, Animal, and Biomedical Sciences at Massey University. After 5 years in New Zealand, Dr. Goulet returned home to California in 2010, where she has been practicing small animal medicine ever since. Dr. Goulet, her husband, and her daughter all enjoy the beautiful Southern California weather, the many opportunities for outdoor adventure here (including hiking, camping, and SCUBA diving), and the friendliness of the community here in the Temecula Valley. We are happy and proud to be a part of the Butterfield Animal Hospital family!
