Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Maya Lottati DVM, Ph.D., DACVIM graduated from the University of California Davis where she received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and subsequently completed an intensive one-year small animal rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles. She then completed an internal medicine residency at a private practice in Woodland Hills, CA where she stayed on as an internist. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Lottati received a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California School of Medicine researching the relationship between obesity and insulin resistance in dogs. As a board-certified internal medicine specialist, her main interests include endocrinology, gastrointestinal conditions, immune-mediated diseases, and minimally-invasive endoscopic procedures. Dr. Lottati is trained and skilled in numerous areas of internal medicine including ultrasonography, endoscopy, and advanced imaging, as well as a number of other specialized procedures. With numerous publications in scientific journals and a love for research, Dr. Lottati continues to participate in exciting research projects aimed at advancing the field of veterinary medicine.
