Veterinarian Overview
Amy Sachs graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Her clinical year was completed at Oregon State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Since childhood, she had an innate passion for animal care, working with different organizations, such as the San Francisco Zoo, Wild Care, and local Marin veterinary hospitals. Before pursuing her doctorate, Amy worked as an animal assistant at Tender Care, where she embraced the philosophy of integrative medicine. Amy recently earned her certification in acupuncture by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. Her special interests include surgery, the human animal bond, and preventative medicine. When Amy is not in the hospital helping animals, she is usually in the hills of Marin running, or at home gardening and playing with her mutt Milo and her island cat Lucille.
