Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Fritz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in both Animal Science and Biology from the University of Kentucky. He then received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Afterward, he completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Fritz moved to the SoCal region to complete a residency program with Eye Care for Animals and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 2013. He remains active in the veterinary community by participating in various continuing education seminars for referring veterinarians as well as serving on the ACVO Residency Committee. He continues to be involved in ophthalmic research and enjoys teaching veterinary students, interns and residents about ophthalmology. When not practicing ophthalmology, he enjoys the many outdoor activities San Diego provides and spending time with his family._
