Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Herrera has always had an affinity for animals. She attended UC Davis, majoring in international agricultural development and was admitted to the Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1971. She graduated in 1975. She began working at Peninsula Center Pet Hospital in 1983, and she bought the hospital in 1990. She celebrated her 30th anniversary at Peninsula Center Pet Hospital in 2013.Dr. Herrera strongly believes that pets are an integral part of the family unit and has designed her practice to celebrate this special bond.In her spare time, Dr. Herrera enjoys cooking and spending time with her family: husband Bill, daughter Meredith, son Jonathan, Queensland Heeler Scout, and Siberian Husky Kenai. Dr. Herrera earned her private pilots license in November 2012 and flies regularly in the family Mooney. She also donates her services to many rescue organizations such as German Shepherd Rescue and Golden Retriever Rescue
