Veterinarian Overview
My high school years were spent in Californias Imperial Valley. Most of my veterinary experience was in food animal medicine as my dad managed a large feedlot where I spent much of my free time following him around walking pens checking for sick steers. After high school I attended 3 years ofundergraduate study at UCSD and entered UCD School of Veterinary Medicine in 1973. I graduated in 1977 and found my first job in a mixed animal practice in Modesto. 18 months later, Cal & I were building Oakdale Veterinary Group and opened doors in April 1979.My veterinary interests are varied but I always enjoy a challenge in either surgery or medicine. Cal & I have 2 daughters, Jill and Jen. Jill practices with us at OVG and Jen, works in Social Media business marketing in San Jose.In my spare time you may find me at CrossFit Oakdale trying to find the fountain of youth, in front of the TV, knitting, while watching your World Champion SF Giants, or enjoying the outdoors with my best friend and husband, Cal.
