Veterinarian Overview
David was drawn to the sciences and went on to attend the University of California Santa Barbara, obtaining a Bachelor's Science degree in Biology. His passion for medicine and love for animals led him to the University of California at Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated in 2008. After completing a rotating internship in internal medicine, radiology, oncology, and soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, he moved back to Orange County to practice veterinary medicine at a multi-specialty hospital. During veterinary school he was active in clinical research and co-authored two research manuscripts on aspiration pneumonia, published in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Broad veterinary interests attracted him to the advanced fields of emergency and critical care medicine, which he finds both challenging and rewarding. David has lived most of his life in Southern California. In his spare time he enjoys being with family, friends, his five cats (he swears most of them belong to his wife), and actively participates in sports including kayaking and snowboarding.
