Veterinarian Overview
As far back as I can recall, I have wanted to be a veterinarian. This was even my answer to 'what would you do if you didn't have to work'. My passion for veterinary medicine is what gets me racing into work every morning, I have the best job in the world! This passion started somewhere around preschool. I was fortunate enough to have local veterinarians take me under their wings and help develop my skills to take on this challenging, fulfilling career. I remained focused through grade school, undergrad (not as easy as it sounds) and earned my D.V.M. from The Ohio State University in 2008. I served an externship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky and worked and trained in every department at MedVet Specialty and Emergency Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. My first position as a veterinarian was with a mentor who was an accomplished surgeon. I rapidly developed a strong interest and began doing my own advanced procedures including orthopedic surgery. Since moving to South Bay in 2009, I have been able to enhance my skills in dentistry under the mentorship of Dr. David Nielsen. His passion to provide exceptional dental care has been passed on and I am proud to offer most of the services currently available at AMG including root canals, crown restoration, vital pulpotomy, disarming, and more. When I'm not practicing medicine, I enjoy spending time with my two children, Emery and Gavin, and my wife Aimee (also a veterinarian). When time allows, I enjoy running, skiing, biking, and great wine with friends.
