Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Tyler Newton was born in Portland, Oregon but spent the majority of his life in southern California. He attended the University of California, Santa Barbara and where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology. Before Dr. Newton went to veterinary school attended Cowtown Horseshoeing School in Miles City, Montana. He completed an internship and worked as a farrier for five years. Dr. Newton has trained and shown in the jumper circuit and has also started several young horses. He earned his Doctor in Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California, Davis. While attending Davis, Dr. Newton was an active member of the Student Chapter of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, holding positions as Co-President Elect and then as Co-President. He was a student representative for Platinum Performance. Dr. Newton is happy to be joining the APEMC Team and in his spare time, Dr. Newton enjoys photography, hiking, riding and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
