Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Steenis graduated from the University of South Florida with degrees in Biomedical Sciences & Physics. He received his veterinary degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Southern California. Here he found his medical interests and skills to include internal medicine, surgery, radiology, dermatology and critical care. His experience comes from working in many different veterinary hospitals, including specialty practices, and even the Johannesburg Zoo over the last 15+ years.Dr. Steenis lives with his wife, Dion, and 2 dogs, Madison & Mouse, and 2 cats, David & Frank. He enjoys watching and participating in most sports, running half marathons, hiking and snow boarding.
