I just wanted to comment on what a wonderful vet that Dr. Ravinsky is. I have 2 Australian Shepherds, Stewie and Skye. Skye is a good sport about going to the vet and he doesn't seem to mind it at all. Stewie is the complete opposite. He is nervous and very anxious and I'm embarrassed by his behavior. Dr. Ravinsky is so patient with him and I feel like Stewie behaves better with her than with other vets. Stewie recently had his yearly exam, shots and heartworm test. I give Stewie heartworm medicine ( Sentinel ) every month and he's always tested negative for heartworm. The day after Stewie's appointment I came home after taking my dogs to the park, and there was a message on my answering machine from Dr. Ravinsky. She said that Stewie had tested positive for heartworm and that she would like me to bring him back to get another blood sample as it was possible that the first test was a false positive. I called the office and they said it was okay to bring Stewie back immediately and they would get a new blood sample. This was on a Friday afternoon. I took him in and they were able to get a new blood sample and returned him to me. They told me that they would call me as soon as they got the results. The following day was Saturday and in the afternoon my phone rang and it was Dr. Ravinsky. She wanted to let me know that she had good news, that Stewie had tested negative for heartworm. Of course I was very happy to hear that. I want to mention that Saturday was Dr. Ravinsky's day off and that she was so awesome that on her own time she had been checking the internet to see the results of the blood sample. I was blown away that she took the time to care about me and my dog on her day off. Thank you so much Dr. Ravinsky ! You're the best !
