Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Hovis was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Georgia in Athens. She later moved to the beautiful island of Grenada to attend veterinary school at St. George's University. She returned to the University of Georgia to complete her clinical year of veterinary school. After graduation she completed an internship in small animal emergency medicine at the Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center near Milwaukee. She loves the diversity of cases that are seen in emergency medicine and has special interest in cardiology, trauma, and surgery.
