Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Lidia Rivas was born and raised in Southern California and graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. She obtained further training as an intern at VCA Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center here in San Diego. She joined the RSDAH pack in the fall of 2015 and immediately fit right in. They say every group of people has a mom and Dr. Rivas is ours; always making sure everyone has eaten and taken their breaks. She has a passion for ALL small animals; from the furry, feathered to the scaly which she gets plenty of here at RSDAH. If you're in the clinic for an early morning appointment you'll know she's here by the warm smell of coffee brewing coming from the back. She spends some of her time away from the hospital hiking in the mountains or swimming at the beach with her Maltese mix, Bella.
