Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jim Esh is the former owner of Acacia Veterinary Hospital. He graduated from U.C. Davis in 1978 and did his internship at the University of Georgia. He holds specialist status in canine and feline practice as a diplomat of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. He is currently the National Chairman of Credentials for the ABVP. Dr. Esh has special interests in ultrasonography, echocardiology, cardiology, and internal medicine. When he finds time away from the hospital, Dr. Esh enjoys playing tennis, camping, and traveling. He is also a faithful fan of the Sacramento Kings! He and his wife Kathy have a daughter, Kelley, who is a South Seas Anthropologist living in Hawaii. They share their home with three cats - Bean, Lelu, and Furby and a golden retriever named Honey. When asked what he thinks about his job, he replies: "I have the best job in the world!"
