Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Young has been involved in the world of animal care for more than 30 years. Hes dedicated his life to helping our pets live happier and healthier lives! Dr. Young couldnt be happier to continue his journey in veterinary medicine and serve the pets and families of Chico right here at Chico Creek Animal Hospital. Dr. Young first entered the veterinary field in 1989 and has been helping animals and their loving owners ever since. He graduated magna cum laude from Ohio State Universitys College of Medicine in 1996, and completed a post-doctoral internship in small-animal medicine and surgery. In addition to his schooling, hes participated in various research studies and was an anesthesiology resident at the University of Minnesota, where he taught veterinary students and new-graduate veterinary interns for many years. Dr. Young has also been published in scientific journals and is a sought-after speaker for veterinary organizations, covering topics as varied as pain management, pharmacology, and anesthesia. Dr. Youngs areas of special interest are anesthesiology, pain management, and advanced oral surgery and dentistry. Hes currently working toward his certification as a Veterinary Dental Practitioner!
