Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Medler graduated from University of Missouri with BS.Ed degree in 1975 and then graduated from University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine with her DVM degree in 1980. After receiving her veterinary degree, she moved to Tucson and practiced exclusively Western Veterinary Medicine from 1980 to 1992. Wanting to expand her practice to address her patients medical needs more holistically, Dr. Medler began training in acupuncture, getting certified by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) in acupuncture. She then continued her training in alternative medicine, completing course work to become certified in Chinese Herbal Medicine. Dr. Medler added chiropractic medicine to her repertoire, getting certified by the AVCA(American Veterinary Chiropractic Association) in spinal manipulation. Most recently, she has been undergoing training in Medical Qigong, both here in the US and in China. Dr. Medler is trained in Applied Kinesiology, Ozone therapy, Chinese Food Therapy, and Stem Cell Implantation. She uses an Integrative approach to Veterinary Medicine, using Western Medicine where it works best, Traditional Chinese Medicine where it works best, and a combination of the two as required for the best treatment.
