Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Rachel Temkin is a graduate from Ohio State University located in Columbus, Ohio and she has been practicing since 2004. Her experience includes several years of emergency relief work at local veterinary emergency hospitals here in Tucson. Dr. Temkin graduated Magna cum laude with a BA in Anthropology and minors in Biology as well as Spanish. While attending Ohio State's College of Veterinary Medicine she volunteered with the Remote Area Medical Service immunizing, neutering, and spaying cats and dogs under the supervision of her veterinary mentor. She also volunteered with Amigos de las Americas which promotes health and community sanitation programs in Oaxaca, Mexico as well as constructed gardens and nutritional programs in Paraguay. Dr. Temkin states that what she loves best is spending her free time with her husband and sons. They enjoy spending time in the pool during the hot summers and traveling to exotic places.
