Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Shannon Kafer grew up in the Monterey Bay area of California. In 2006 she became a Registered Veterinary Technician and worked in emergency medicine while pursuing her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biology prior to attending University of California-Davis where she graduated with her DVM in 2016. Her primary area of interest is emergency and critical care. Dr. Kafer is excited to join the 1st Pet team as a small animal intern.;During her free time she enjoys hanging out with her two dogs, a Pitbull mix named Iggy and a Boston Terrier named Spanky, as well as her two cats, Darby and Wednesday, cooking, and watching movies.
