Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Keith Joyner attended the University of Utah, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree, and went on to Colorado State University to gain his DVM, but he actually started his veterinary career in high school, working as a kennel attendant. After college, Dr. Joyner practiced in Oregon for many years before relocating to Arizona, where he owned his own general practice before joining the 1stPet team in 1995, and were glad he did!;Some of his favorite aspects of being a veterinarian include seeing an owners happy face at a successful outcome, and having the privilege of offering supportive friendship during tougher times. Dr. Joyner has performed a wide variety of surgeries, and has a particular interest in orthopedic and soft-tissue surgery, radiology, and computer technology.;Dr. Joyner is married and has two daughters, three sons, two yellow Labs, Steffi and Jenni. When hes not working with clients at 1stPet, he enjoys doing graphic art, photography, and outdoor sports.;I like to relate to my animal patients as furry little people and often refer to them as little kids. We need to take care of them just as we take care of our own children, and Ill do my best to help keep them healthy and happy.
