Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Katz graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 1996. Dr. Katz started her veterinary career at All Creatures Veterinary Clinic in her hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. While an associate veterinarian at All Creatures, she treated dogs, cats, horses, lizards, turtles, turkeys, lions, tigers and monkeys. After three years at All Creatures, Dr. Katz became the first full-time on-site veterinarian for the Nebraska Humane Society. The Nebraska Humane Society is the fifth oldest humane society in the UnitedStates During her seven years there, she grew the surgical department to three veterinarians while personally completing between 30 to 50+ surgeries a day. In addition to her day-to-day veterinary activities, Dr. Katz also testified in court on behalf of The Nebraska Humane Society on animal cruelty cases. Dr. Katz pets include two dogs: Circles, a neurologically-impaired toy poodle and Tess, a spastic rat terrier/ sheltie mix; 2 cats, gentleman Leroy and zen Jim. Dr. Katz enjoys movies, hiking, and painting. Her current painting series prominently features Tesss favorite stuffed squeaky toy, affectionately known as Stinky Monkey.
