Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Bower is an Arizona native, growing up in North Phoenix. He went to the University of Arizona for his undergraduate degree where he majored in Microbiology. He then went on to Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. He completed a Small Animal Medical and Surgical internship at the University of Pennsylvania in 2005 before coming back to the valley. Dr. Bower has been working in the valley for several years as an associate veterinarian prior to joining the team in February 2015. He is dedicated to compassionate and complete patient care along with excellent communication with our clients. His areas of special interest are internal medicine, dentistry, radiology, ultrasound, and pain management but he enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery. In his spare time he likes to get up to the mountains for flyfishing the lakes and streams in search of trout. He has setup numerous freshwater aquariums for planted tanks and freshwater shrimp but now his new interest is his saltwater reef and the many different types of corals that he grows. He also enjoys gardening, playing soccer, and spending time with his wife and two sons along with his rescue lab mix Isaac.
