Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Elizabeth Dunphy received her B.S. in Animal Sciences in 1992 from the University of Vermont and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1996 from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Early on in veterinary school, Dr. Dunphy developed a passion for Emergency and Critical Care Medicine while working in the Small Animal Intensive Care Unit. In 1999 Dr. Dunphy made the decision to pursue advanced training in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Medicine and completed a residency program at the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. She became a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Medicine that same year.After moving to Arizona in 2003 Dr. Dunphy first worked at Mesa Veterinary Hospital then headed up the Emergency/Critical Care Department at the Animal Referral & Emergency Center of Arizona when it opened in 2004 where she remained until 2009. She joined Friendship Pet Hospital in 2011.Dr. Dunphys family includes her husband Danny as well as her 2yo daughter Zoey. She also has two four legged children, Oliver, a proud mutt, and a cat Kilarney
