Veterinarian Overview
I'm a lifelong local, born in Harrisburg and raised in Camp Hill. I received a B.S. in Animal Science from Penn State and a V.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. After practicing for four years in Massachusetts, I came home to start my own practice. It was the height of the Three Mile Island crisis on April 1, 1979, when I came back to buy the property that is Derry Animal Hospital. Thousands of cars were streaming away from town with very few cars going in my directionMy objective in owning my own practice has always been to provide excellent veterinary care that people can afford. Unlike large practices with high overhead, we can often diagnose and treat cases without requiring expensive blood work and x-rays routinely. We do not push vaccines or services your pet doesn't need or charge extra fees for incidentals like clipping nails or cleaning ears.Because you will see the same vet every time, we get to know you and your pet. All treatments and procedures are performed by the veterinarian rather than passed off to a technician.Give my practice a try. You'll be happy you did.
