Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Andrea Carlson is originally from Wisconsin and received her veterinary degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010. Prior to beginning veterinary school and during her time as a veterinary student, Dr. Carlson spent several years conducting wildlife research. She studied the effects of heavy metals on frogs, completed health and disease surveys on desert tortoise, and worked on developing a vaccine for the plague to be used in wildlife. While she enjoyed her research, her passion and professional goal was to spend hands-on time with animals and their human companions. This inspired her to pursue a career as a veterinarian. She cherishes the amazing strength of the bond between a pet and their human family.
