Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Margaret Fordham is a graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. After earning her doctorate, she went on to complete a three-year residency in exotic pet medicine and surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She worked as a clinical instructor in the university veterinary hospital for two years after that before entering into private practice in exotics. Prior to the residency she worked in the Philadelphia area for many years, doing both small animal emergency medicine and exotic pet medicine. In addition, from 1998-2004 she was the assistant veterinarian at the New Jersey State Aquarium in Camden, NJ. She has lectured nationally and internationally on exotic pet medicine and has a special interest in exotic animal anesthesia and emergency care.
