Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Lauren Pugliese grew up in Syracuse, NY and attended Washington University in St. Louis for her undergraduate degree. She graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. In her pursuit to become a surgeon, she completed a general rotating internship at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego, followed by a surgical internship with Dr. Jon Dee at Hollywood Animal Hospital, and then was the first Fitzpatrick Fellow at the Ohio State University performing orthopedic surgery research. She continued at the Ohio State University as a small animal surgery resident and completed a Master's degree with her thesis focusing on total hip replacement surgery. She enjoys both soft tissue surgery and orthopedics. Dr. Pugliese joined the Advanced Veterinary Care Team in Fishers and the Northwood team in Anderson in September of 2014. She has two cats, a foster dog and likes to travel, read books, enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, running, and scuba diving.
