Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Hannah Kim was born in New York and raised in Los Angeles. She received her undergraduate degree in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University. Upon graduating from veterinary school, she returned to Southern California where she completed a rigorous one-year rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine, Critical Care, and Surgery at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital San Diego. She also received additional training in Cardiology and Nephrology at the UC Veterinary Medical Center in San Diego. Dr. Kim enjoys all the challenges that veterinary medicine has to offer, with special interest in emergency and critical care, internal medicine, cardiology, ophthalmology, and dermatology. She also treats small exotic pets, such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and rats. While Dr. Kim is very dedicated to her patients, when she is not helping them and their people locally, she loves to travel the world to participate in wildlife conservation projects. Her passion in this area has taken her to places such as Costa Rica and Australia. In her free time she enjoys gardening, hiking, and spending time with her adopted dog and cat.
