Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Savage was born and raised in North Carolina. She joined the Air Force in order to experience life beyond the confines of the south and explore college options. While traveling, she obtained a degree in business management, learned to speak German, lived in Greece for 3 years, and fell in love with both science and California. Dr. Savage received her BS degree with highest honors in biochemistry from UC Davis. She graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000 and went on to perform an internship at Tufts University in Massachusetts in emergency and general medicine. Upon returning to California, she worked as a general practitioner in both Mendocino and Marin counties before joining PetCare in 2008. She loves geriatric patients, preventive medicine, and managing general medicine cases.Dr. Savage lives in Windsor with her husband, two boys, two cats, a dog, and multiple fish. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, jogging, reading, wine tasting, and good food.
