Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Vandevender attended Davis & Elkins College for undergraduate education. In May 2014, she graduated from the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has traveled to New Orleans and North Carolina to further her education via externships. As a horse owner and former 4Her, Dr. Vandevender is very comfortable around the big animals! She is also very experienced in beef cow, dairy cow, goat and other livestock. Dr. Vandevender has special interest in oncology and reproduction and we look forward to expanding these services. Dr. Vandevender has returned home to reside in Tucker County with her husband and daughter. Dr. Vandevender is very active in the community and participates in the Tucker County 4H as well as serving on the Tucker County Fair Board. She is also a member of the Farm Bureau, AVMA and AABP. In her spare time, Dr. Vandevender enjoys riding her horses and hunting with her mountain feists.
