Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jesse Bejar came to the Charlottesville area in 1992 to attend The University of Virginia. After graduating from UVA with a degree in psychology and then completing two years of neuroscience research, he decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. He graduated from Texas A&M Veterinary College in 2004, and then lived in Colorado for 6 years where he practiced as an equine veterinarian. In the Spring of 2010 he returned to Charlottesville with his wife, Anna, so they could be closer to their families. At that time, he entered into small animal practice. Neurology, internal medicine, and ultrasonography are areas of special interest that he is currently pursuing. Dr. Bejar and his wife enjoy hiking, horseback riding, and swimming in their free time together. He also enjoys bicycling, cooking, and the occasional home repair project. They share their lives with two cats, Leroy and Simone; two dogs, Mathilda and Stanley; and two horses, Peppy and Bernie.
