Veterinarian Overview
A native Texan, from Corsicana, Dr. Manning joined us in San Antonio in 2011. He attended Texas A&M for both his undergrad and Veterinary degrees. Dr. Manning has a special interest in "integrated medicine" (a mix of western medicine with acupuncture, herbology and energy healing) for a more holistic approach. His acupuncture expertise enhances Town & Country's medical repertoire available for our patients and offers other options when conventional medications aren't a complete solution to a pet's health problem. When at the age of 4 he watched a veterinarian perform a "miracle" on a cow, bringing it "back to life," a spark was lit inside the young John Manning. This incredible experience is a large part of what made him the dedicated doctor that he is today. When not at work you can find Dr. Manning cheering on his son (the budding baseball star), playing guitar or practicing his swing on the golf course. He is a member of both TVMA and AVMA. His well-rounded approach to medicine helps this friendly Texan care for your pets and find solutions for your companion's health that fit with your family. Dr. GarciaAlbeisa Rut Garza, D.V.M. Ross University Dr. Albeisa Rut Garza was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She is married to David Garza and together they have four, beautiful girls. She attended the University of Texas - Pan American for her undergraduate studies. There she obtained a bachelors degree in Pre-medical biology and minor in Chemistry. Dr. Garza taught high school biology and chemistry for about three years before attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Garza became a veterinarian when she realized her passion to always help animals in their time of need. She believes that being a veterinarian allows her to keep humanity safe from zoonotic diseases by practicing veterinary medicine and providing care for their animals. She has a special interest in internal medicine and surgery. What she likes most about veterinary medicine is that it allows her to be an advocate for animals who are unable to speak for themselves. Her hobbies and favorite past time includes scrapbooking, decorations, and spending time with family. She has two adorable pets; Milkshake, a 7 year old Cocker Spaniel and Violet, a 4 year old Yorkshire Terrier. "A righteous man regards the life of his animal" - Proverbs 12:10 Dr. LutmerIngrid L. Lutmer, D.V.M. North Carolina State University Dr. Lutmer has always had a connection with and love of animals. She finds great satisfaction and joy out of small animal veterinary medicine, and has an additional passion for wildlife conservation. Both of these interests drive her to be an advocate for animals, helping the "helpless." Veterinary medicine also allows her to foster strong bonds between animals and their people. This is an important aspect of the profession, both rewarding and motivating Dr. Lutmer. Originally from Sylva, NC, Dr. Lutmer attended Davidson College for undergrad and received her veterinary degree from North Carolina State University. She enjoys an added emphasis on feline medicine and exotics. A member of TVMA, AVMA and AAFP, she enjoys the companionship of her two kitties, Trogdor and Frankie. Dr. Lutmer joined us at Town & Country in June of 2013. "There are two means of refuge from the misery of life - music and cats." - Albert Schweitzer Dr. NaranjoCathryn S. Naranjo, D.V.M. Ross University A native Texan from Corpus Christi, Dr. Naranjo attended Texas A&M Corpus Christi for her undergrad and continued onto Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Since the age of 5, Dr. Naranjo aspired to be a Veterinarian. She became a Veterinarian to help make our furry friends healthier. She sees animals as much more than pets; she sees them as part of the family. One of Dr. Naranjo's favorite aspects of Veterinary Medicine is emergency care. With emergencies, you never know what is going to walk in. There is great satisfaction in knowing that you helped an animal get back onto the road of recovery. Not only does she have a special affinity for emergency care, but also strongly values the importance of preventative care for our pets. Dr. Naranjo understands how we connect with our furry family friends. She will show your pets the love and respect that they deserve. A little known fact - in addition to being a great doctor, she is a regular "Martha Stewart"; flexing her artistic muscle outside of the hospital with scrapbooking, baking, and decorating. Dr. Naranjo is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine A California native, Dr. Weston has been in San Antonio since July 2013. She obtained a BS in Animal Science from Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo, California before attending the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine (the bicycle capital of California). There she focused on the treatment and care for small animal, zoological and exotic species. Furry, feathered or scaled, Dr. Weston loves working with all species of animals and has a particular interest in exotics, and emergency and critical care. Having 3 black and white cats; Minew -13 yr old, Mia- 8 yrs old, and Keyser Soze- 6 yr old, Dr. Weston also has a 6 foot long Red Tail Boa Constrictor named Rooi who is 4 years old. Prior to starting veterinary school Dr. Weston participated in volunteer work in Namibia and South Africa to promote conservation of African wildlife. There she worked with a variety of dangerous species including cheetahs, lions, leopards, baboons, great white sharks, as well as an unruly British man, Gary, whom she later imported into the U.S. and adopted as her husband. Dr. Weston is a member of the AVMA, TVMA, and CVMA. And on the rare occasion of free time, she enjoys scuba diving, martial arts, soccer, spending quality time with her pets and listening to her handsome husbands amazing accent!
