Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Sackman grew up in the Rosenberg area and began her veterinary career as a kennel assistant at Rose-Rich Veterinary Clinic in the late 80Ís. Her undergraduate studies were in biochemistry and genetics at Texas A& M University where she also completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree, Cum Laude in 1998. Dr. Sackman completed a post graduate internship in small animal medicine and surgery then continued to work as an emergency veterinarian and general practitioner in the Dallas Fort Worth Area. Wanting to return to her hometown and family roots, Dr. Sackman looks forward to joining the Rose-Rich Veterinary Clinic Family in May 2015. Dr. Sackman is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association and has special interest in small animal pain management, dentistry, internal medicine, and surgery. Serving as the veterinarian for several DFW police department service dogs, Dr. Sackman enjoys the challenge of canine police and service dog care. In her free time, Dr. Sackman enjoys spending time with her husband, Stephen as well as their four fur-kids Jancsi, Sapphira, Veruka Salt, and Bitty. She is a 10 time participant in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day 60 mile walk for breast cancer and loves being outdoors, playing volleyball and roller skating.
