Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Kwon grew up in Seoul, South Korea. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Chonnam National University in 2006. Upon graduation, he joined the Korean Army and served as a Veterinary Officer for 8 years. During this time, he was the officer in charge at the largest military animal hospital in the Korean Army and took care of over 500 military working dogs. Following his retirement from the military service, he attended an echocardiology training course under the mentorship of one of the pioneering professors of veterinary echocardiology in South Korea. ? In the States, he has worked at an AAHA accredited animal hospital where he learned not only the standard care of U.S veterinary medicine but also the ethics and cultures of the clinical environment. In 2016 he decided to relocate from California to Texas where he took a position at an ER. He has special interst in surgery(soft tissue and orthpetics) and emergency medicine. With an intent of continuing to pursue sound medicine and growing a practice, he decided to establish his own practice. Dr Kwon loves reading, and spending time with his family. He has a lovely wife, two kids and a dog.
