Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Sessums earned her degree in veterinary medicine from Texas A&M University. After graduation, Dr. Sessums practiced as an emergency veterinarian for three years in Dallas/Fort Worth. Dr. Sessums then completed a neurology/neurosurgery internship at the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center, followed by a three-year neurology/neurosurgery residency at the University of Florida. From there, Dr. Sessums spent two years practicing in Colorado followed by seven years practicing at Veterinary Emergency & Referral Group in New York. Dr. Sessums interests include refractory epilepsy, brain tumor treatments and spinal surgery. She is excited about medical advances in the field including new treatments for granulomatous meningoencephalitis and immunotherapy for brain tumors
