Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Susan Weisser graduated from Texas A&M in 1983 with her degree in veterinary medicine. She has a wide variety of experience gained from her years of small animal practice, including emergency medicine.
Dr. Weisser has owned Town & Country Pet Hospital since its opening in 1992. In addition to practicing full time at TCPH, she remains on staff at the North Texas Emergency Pet Clinic.
Susie volunteers at the Denton Animal Shelter Foundation. Her personal pet menagerie includes several rescued dogs. Belle the Mastiff, Millie and Buster the Boxers, Jeff and Old Dog the Labradors, and also Pipette the barn cat have found a home with Susie.
Susie is a board member of the Cross Timbers Equestrian Trail Association that helps maintain and support local walking and riding trails. She has Ace the Tennessee Walking Horse and Nina, Lily and Reba the Mules. When Susie is not working here or around the farm, then you may find her riding the trails on one of her mules. Susie volunteers regularly at New Hope Equine Assisted Therapy where her mules are therapeutic riding mounts.
