When the vet Dusty came into exam room I told him that I thought my dog had AP, that I just came from another vet office who was NOT helping my dog at all. I told him the drip bag was in the same spot at this morning and the oxygen was not even turned on. Yet that vet told me that morning the oxygen seem to comfort him.So I was very emotionally teary-eyed. He ask why I thought he had AP, I told him he coughs a lot, he says but is it primary or secondary cause? him. Said he also seems to have a breathing problem. He said again primary or secondary cause.I continued to tell him his main Vet who was out of office until July put him on heart meds, did not help cough. He also vomits a creamy white after he coughs. He said he vomits foam I said no a creamy white liquid, he ask if it is yellow green bile I said no a white creamy looking vomit not regurgitate but vomit. He again says is it primary or secondary cause. I'm thinking it don't matter I want my dog fixed and I want to know whats wrong. He said something abt a MRI. I AGREED TO DO MRI. Then he said something abt or he could do xray and send to friend in Austin I said no let's do MRI. He continued to talk in circles. Abt that time the fax with bloodwork from other vet came in. I told him I had pictures of xrays also. He looked at bloodwork said kidneys not released toxins but its an older dog than primary or secondary cause again. When he looked at blood count he said this is fire no this is a bomb igniting with infection. I showed him xray and told him the other vet said he had a lung tumor. From my understanding he seen one as well. A massive tumor he said. I said I do not see one but I do not know what I'm looking at but I do see the eyeglasses and pointed that out to him. He agreed looked like glasses.then back to primary or secondary bs again. I have no idea exactly how we came to putting my dog down I was so emotionally distraught.. For several days after I just did not feel right so I started search the web for dog lung tumors. My dogs lungs looked nothing like this. So I looked at Pneumonia lungs in dogs, this was what my dogs lungs looked like. I went back out to Timbercreek and ask to point out the tumor. I was told they do not see a tumor. My heart just tore in half said what I killed my dog for nothing when he probably had pneumonia? They apologized and said he probably did have pneumonia because ME dogs are prone to pneumonia. This is horrible. I admit I was an emotional train wreck but I said twice I wanted to do MRI and I knew he probably had pneumonia because of his ME. I KNOW MY DOG. I saved this dogs life 9 yrs ago. This was my child basically. It was like no big deal to them. Dusty being the professional should of made himself clear especially knowing the situation. Come to think of it not one time did Dusty listen to my dog breath or to his heart. So how could he allow this when he did not fully exam my dog himself? Not very professional.

I took my dog to him because i thought he had pneumonia. Dusty told me my dog had a massive lung tumor. Something did not feel right for 3 days I compared lung tumor xrays with my dogs xrays, they look nothing alike. Compared pneumonia xrays this IS what my dogs lungs looked like. Monday went back to TC ask to show me again the tumor...now they said do not see a tumor.. I said I killed my dog for nothing prob had pneumonia? Apologized and said ME dogs are prone to pneumonia. I'm very devastated. I was emotional and stressed when I first went in to this office. I agreed to MRI all I kept hearing Dusty say, "is it primary or secondary cause" over and over. He never listen to my dog breath or to his heart even. That dog was like my child. I saved his life. I'm not even sure how we went from agreeing to MRI to killing my dog. As upset and emotional I was when I got there, it was obvious I walked in teary-eyed, he being the professional should of made himself clear.
