Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Amy Thomason is a native Austinite and a 2007 graduate from Texas A&M Universitys College of Veterinary Medicine. She joined our team in 2011. The challenge of medicine and her marvel at the strength of the bond between humans and their pets drove her to trade in a career in marketing for her dream of practicing veterinary medicine. She is very interested in dentistry, internal medicine, and wellness care. Dr. Thomason lives with her husband and their German shorthaired pointer, Riley, as well as two horses, Gabby and Isabelle. Her days away from the hospital are spent with her family and friends, participating in competitive horse riding, and painting. She is inspired by Westlakes team approach to quality medicine and our excellent staff.
