Veterinarian Overview
Mary Baker-Arguelles, DVM, grew up in Montgomery, AL, and studied at Auburn University as an Animal & Dairy Science Major before being accepted in to Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated 1994. She practiced in Kentucky, primarily beef and dairy cattle medicine, before moving to Texas in 1995. Prior to working at Alamo Area Veterinary Clinic, she was a relief vet in the San Antonio area. She has been at Alamo Area Veterinary Clinic since March 1997 when it opened and is one of the practice owners. Her interests are soft-tissue (particularly reconstructive) surgery, pain-management, anesthesia, pediatric medicine, and emergency medicine. She and her husband, Luis Arguelles, have three children. In her spare time, Dr. Baker enjoys cooking, gardening, exercising, and reading.
