Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Melinda Shumpert graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She has been practicing small animal medicine for the last 14 years in California, Indiana, South Carolina, and Florida. Dr. Shumpert moved back to Knoxville 4 years ago and has been providing relief services to area veterinary hospitals. She is extremely happy to join the Cedar Bluff family and excited to find an exceptional hospital to call home. Dr. Shumperts experiences in surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, and ultrasound will complement the Cedar Bluff team. She is passionate about providing the best care for your furry family member while also ministering to the pet parent. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her beautiful family, getting outdoors, reading, and serving in her local church.
