Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Gregg grew up in Charleston and received his undergraduate degree from Clemson. He then received his DVM from the University of Georgia in 1979. In 1985, he became a diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, and is currently one of three ABVP canine and feline diplomates in the state of South Carolina. Diplomate status requires recertification every 10 years and he has since recertified in 1995 and 2005. He opened Gregg Animal Hospital in 1987. Dr. Gregg's areas of special interest include cardiology, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and minimally invasive surgery. He has been married to Paula Hall of Mt. Pleasant since 1977, and together they have three sons and two grandchildren. Their two oldest sons, Boyd and Will are both graduates of Spring Valley High School and Clemson University and are practicing engineers. Their youngest son, Stephen, is a graduate of Blythewood High School and is a recent graduate of Clemson University with a degree in chemical engineering. Dr. Gregg enjoys many outdoor activities, most notably, salt water fishing, upland bird hunting, and farming.
