Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Shelley Horn joined Sea Island Animal Hospital in October of 2013. Prior to joining Sea Island, Dr. Horn worked at veterinary clinics in the Low Country and Montgomery County, Maryland. Dr. Horn received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2008. Dr. Horn also earned a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia Business School in 1997, concentrating in Marketing and Business development prior to earning her DVM. Dr. Horn earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Virginia Tech. Dr. Horn has an interest in ultrasound, dentistry, surgery and internal medicine. She provides her patients and clients a keen sense of compassion and is dedicated to furthering the human-pet bond through client education and patient wellness. Dr. Horn is married and has two dogs and a cat. In her spare time, Dr. Horn enjoys traveling, working on home improvement projects, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.
