Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Caroline Perner received her BA is Sociology and Anthropology from Swarthmore College in 1990. Shortly after graduation, she entered the field of veterinary medicine by volunteering in the Emergency Service at the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital (VHUP). She was soon hired as a technician in the Emergency Service, first full-time, then part-time until her cum laude graduation as a VMD from Penn Vet in 2000.Dr. Perners career as a veterinarian began at Penn Vet, as she completed a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery in 2001. She next moved on as an associate critical care veterinarian at Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Clinic (VSEC) in Langhorne, PA. She joined Queen Village Animal Hospital (QVAH) as an associate veterinarian in 2002, where she remained until 2008. After a two year hiatus in search of greener pastures, Dr. Perner realized none were greener than Queen Village, and she returned in 2010.Dr. Perner loves the quality of care she is able to provide as a QVAH veterinarian, and attributes this to the wonderful staff, clients and animal companions she works with every day!
